Mega Millions growing again
UNITED STATES –- (PRESS RELEASE) -- Even though there was no jackpot winner in Tuesday's Mega Millions drawing, a lot of players still walked away winners. With nine different ways to win, a total of 436,784 tickets won prizes in the April 10 drawing. That includes six tickets that each won $250,000. Since no ticket matched all six numbers to take home the jackpot, that jackpot grows to an estimated $17 million for the Friday, April 13, 2007 drawing.
The six tickets that each won $250,000 did so by matching the first five numbers and only missing the Mega Ball number. Two of those tickets were purchased in Massachusetts; the others were purchased in Georgia, Illinois, New York and Texas.
Mega Millions is played in 12 states: California, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Texas, Virginia and Washington.
Mega Millions drawings are held Tuesdays and Fridays at 11:00 PM Eastern Time, 10:00 PM Central Time and 8:00 PM Pacific Time.
