Mega Million jackpot rises to $106 million

NITED STATES -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- Everything is getting bigger in Mega Millions: the jackpot, the number of winners and above all, the excitement. With nine different ways to win, a total of 692,893 tickets were winners in Friday's drawing, including seven tickets that each won $250,000. No ticket managed to match all six numbers, so the jackpot for the Tuesday, July 3, 2007 drawing grows to an estimated $106 million.

The seven tickets that each won Mega Millions' second highest prize of $250,000 matched the first five numbers and only missed the Mega Ball number. Those tickets were sold in Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey(2), Ohio and Virginia(2).

The winning numbers in the Friday, June 29 drawing were: 01-17-40-51-52 and the Mega Ball number was 07.

Mega Millions is played in 12 states: California, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Texas, Virginia and Washington.

Mega Millions drawings are held Tuesdays and Fridays at 11:00 PM Eastern Time, 10:00 PM Central Time and 8:00 PM Pacific Time.
