Mayweather vs. McGregor one of Betway's most profitable events
28 Aug 2017
Betway's Alan Alger said, "The bet count throughout Saturday was similar to if a major football final was taking place that evening.
"Some of the early rounds for McGregor had liabilities that would have produced a record loss on any market we've ever offered. Thankfully, in the end, we couldn't have picked a better outcome.
"It was one of the busiest and most profitable events in the history of the company."
Following the fight, Betway are offering 7/2 that there is a rematch under boxing rules in 2018, while it's 33/1 for a bout between the two under UFC rules in 2018.
In Betway's "what will Mayweather do next?" market, he is 4/6 to compete at WrestleMania, 9/2 to buy a Las Vegas casino and 10/1 to run for U.S. Senate.
Tony Ferguson is 6/4 favorite to McGregor's next fight, with Kevin Lee 7/4, Mayweather 4/1 and Nate Diaz 5/1.
