Maryland Ticket Wins Mega Million Jackpot

UNITED STATES – (PRESS RELEASE) -- Somewhere there is a Mega Millions ticket worth an estimated $49 million. That ticket matches all six numbers drawn in the Tuesday, July 18 Mega Millions drawing. Those winning numbers were 12-13-29-49-52 and the Mega Ball was 20. The winning ticket was purchased in District Heights, Maryland. The questions now are: where is that ticket? Who has it? Who is the latest mega-winner?

The person who won the jackpot is certainly not the only Mega Millions winner in Tuesday's drawing. A total of 409,212 tickets in twelve states won Mega Millions prizes.

Four tickets came within a heartbeat of winning the jackpot. Each matched the first five numbers and only missed the Mega Ball number. Those tickets, each of which is now worth $250,000, were purchased in Michigan (2), New Jersey and New York.

The jackpot for the Friday, July 21, 2006 Mega Millions drawing is $12 million.
