MARYLAND -- The Maryland lottery is going online and by 2013 punters will be able to buy tickets from the kitchen table rather than walking to store, NBC Washington reported.

The aim is to increase lottery revenue by making it simpler for customers to obtain lottery tickets, the report explained.

However some store owners aren't so happy as they are anxious their revenue and lottery traffic will decrease, NBC Washington reported.
