Mandalay Acquisition Needs Mississippi Approval

MISSISSIPPI – As reported by the Mississippi Clarion Ledger: "MGM Mirage would control about half the hotel rooms on the Las Vegas Strip if it manages to pull off a multibillion-dollar buyout of Mandalay Resort Group."
"…Larry Gregory, executive director of the Mississippi Gaming Commission, said he had a telephone conversation Monday with MGM Mirage corporate officials about the buyout.
"…The commission would have to approve the buyout, he said, since MGM Mirage and Mandalay Resort Group are licensed in Mississippi. MGM Mirage owns Beau Rivage Casino Resort in Biloxi, and Mandalay Resort Group owns Gold Strike Casino Resort in Tunica…"
