Lucky guest becomes millionaire at The Venetian

(PRESS RELEASE) -- Earlier this week, a guest, who wished to remain anonymous, was seated at an Ultimate Texas Hold’em table in The Palazzo Resort Hotel Casino at The Venetian Las Vegas and hit the hand of a lifetime – a diamond royal flush to win $1,080,485. This marks the fourth time in less than a year that The Millionaire Progressive has paid out.

“Since inception, The Millionaire Progressive has paid out a total of $4,254,419 to four lucky guests,” said Lance Gautreaux, senior vice president and US chief casino officer for Las Vegas Sands Corp. “As innovators in our industry, we are always exploring new opportunities to keep our guests engaged. Late last year, The Venetian Resort Las Vegas launched one of the largest table games progressives in the city. The Millionaire Progressive, which begins at $1 million and increases incrementally, is eligible by placing a $5 side bet. To win, the player must be dealt a natural royal flush, and a millionaire is born. The progressive is available on several table games: Ultimate Texas Hold’em, Three Card Poker, Let it Ride, Caribbean Stud, Crazy 4 Poker, and Mississippi Stud in both The Venetian and The Palazzo casinos.

The Millionaire Progressive reset after the latest win and is now more than $1,000,025.
