22 Apr 2023
“We are thrilled that Low6 has been selected as a free-to-play games provider for the NHL,” said Jamie Mitchell, Low6 CEO and Co-Founder. “Over the next two years, we will be providing highly innovative games, actionable data and a whole heap of fun for users. We look forward to working with the NHL and their commercial partners in activating revenue throughout our gamification suite.”
The first NHL-Low6 free-to-play game launched was “NHL PrePlay” last December and was partnered by the Canadian-based premium online sports betting company BET99. Hockey fans in Canada answer a set of predictive outcome-based questions throughout each game day of the NHL season for a chance to win CA$100,000 as well as NHL shop gift cards and weekly ticket giveaways. BET99 provides betting education to users, receives brand exposure throughout the game and is included in marketing communications to players.
Other Low6 created NHL free-to-play games include the Pepsi Zero Sugar NHL Goalie Challenge game, which invites hockey fans to play by choosing three NHL goalies to either get a win, rack up the most saves and have the fewest goals scored against them. The game also has an innovative interactive element with players dropping cans of Pepsi on which goaltender they thought would earn a shutout.
The past three months has welcomed the launch of several NHL-Low6 games including NHL Stats Streak presented by SAP, NHL Winter Classic, NHL Stadium Series and NHL All-Star Bingo and the 2023 NHL All-Star Fan Vote presented by Guaranteed Rate, and 2023 Stanley Cup Playoffs Bracket Challenge presented by Geico. A 2023 Stanley Cup Final Bingo game is also coming.
