LOUISIANA -- As reported by the Shreveport Times: "The Louisiana Lottery Corporation has transferred more than $10.2 million from December revenue to the state treasury department, bringing its fiscal year total transfers to $63,056,025 million.

"President Rose Hudson said that December revenue of more than $29.1 million resulted in $10,213,145 being sent to the state treasury.

"November revenue of more than $29.8 million resulted in $10,459,865 being transferred to the state treasury last month.

"...Under state law, the treasury department receives 35 percent of every $1 in Lottery sales, which is earmarked for the Minimum Foundation Program that funds public education in Louisiana..."
