"That familiar refrain is a winning pitch for youngsters hawking raffle tickets door to door, and now state Lottery officials are trotting out that tried-and-true message to sell a new lottery ticket, intended to benefit the arts.
"Revenue from the first three months of sales of the new $1 scratch ticket will go directly to the Rhode Island State Council on the Arts. Lottery officials have printed 1 million tickets, and if all tickets are sold in that stretch, it could mean a maximum of $250,000 for the arts organization..."
