Largest Match 6 Lotto won
MIDDLETOWN, Pennsylvania – (PRESS RELEASE)-- One ticket matched all six winning numbers, 04-06-16-20-36-43, in the March 23 Match 6 lotto drawing. Tonight's winning jackpot is worth $6,907,853.50 cash, less 25 percent federal withholding.
It is the 29th Match 6 jackpot won and the largest Match 6 jackpot awarded since the game's inception. The largest Match 6 jackpot awarded prior to Friday night's drawing was a $5.35 million prize that was won by a single ticket in the May 3, 2005 drawing.
The current jackpot has been rolling since one ticket matched all six winning numbers in the Oct. 13, 2006 Match 6 lotto drawing. That jackpot was worth $1.19 million cash, less 25 percent federal withholding.
Pennsylvania Lottery officials cannot announce the identity of Friday's MATCH 6 jackpot winner until a prize has been claimed and a ticket validated. The Pennsylvania Lottery encourages the holder of a winning ticket to sign the back of the ticket, contact a financial adviser, and then contact Pennsylvania Lottery Headquarters, (717) 985-3275.
Match 6 jackpots must be claimed by presenting a winning ticket at Pennsylvania Lottery Headquarters in Middletown, Dauphin County, or at any of the Lottery's seven area offices located throughout the Commonwealth. Claims may be filed at Headquarters Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. until 4 p.m., and from 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. at area Lottery offices.
The Match 6 jackpot returns to an estimated $500,000 for the Tuesday, March 27 drawing. Live, televised MATCH 6 drawings are conducted every Tuesday and Friday at 7 p.m., along with The Daily Number, BIG 4, and CASH 5.
