Kansas tracks approved for slots

KANSAS -- As reported by the Wichita Business Journal: "The Kansas Lottery Commission on Wednesday authorized the placement of 800 electronic slot machines at the Wichita Greyhound Park pending voter approval here.
"The five-member lottery commission also approved 800 slots for the Woodlands track in Kansas City, Kan., and 600 slot machines for Camptown Greyhound Park in Frontenac. The commission also established rules and regulations governing the slot machines at the tracks.
"...But before slot machines can go in at the Wichita Greyhound Park, voters here must approve it. A referendum on the question, as well as whether a casino could be placed in Sedgwick County, is set for Aug. 7..."
