Kansas to announce sports betting launch

(PRESS RELEASE) -- BetKansas.com recently confirmed that the Kansas Lottery along with the Kansas Racing and Gaming Commission will finally announce the official launch date of Kansas sports setting on 18 August, setting the stage for Kansas to join the more than 30 states that have sports betting in place across the country.

“Expect an official announcement tomorrow (8/18/22) in the early afternoon about sports betting in Kansas, including an official start date and what platforms/providers that will be available,”
said the source, who confirmed Thursday’s announcement on the condition of anonymity.

Sportsbooks in Kansas will likely have the chance to begin accepting wagers as soon as the 8 September date that lawmakers set out when SB 84 (which legalized sports betting in Kansas) was hammered out this spring, though no official start time has been made public yet.
