Judge throws out bankruptcy protection petition at hearing

NEW YORK -- A federal bankruptcy hearing has ruled that Suffolk Off-Track Betting Corp. did not have the "legal authority" to seek bankruptcy protection, Bloodhorse reported.The judge has thrown out the bankruptcy protection petition, the report said.
The future of the state off-track betting corporation now faces new decisions, Bloodhorse said.
