John Higgins determined to clear name over match-fix claims

ENGLAND -- John Higgins, the British snooker player, suspended last week over match-fixing allegations is fighting back, the BBC reported.Higgins proclaimed his innocence after being filmed in a Sunday newspaper sting where he agreed to lose frames for money, according to the BBC report.
Higgins is also accused of trying to bet he would lose the World Championship final, which he won against Shaun Murphy, the BBC said.
