Is a blackjack table that allows a bigger bet spread better?
Hi, Frank:
I play table games in a number of casinos and most of them have a 1 to 20 minimum to maximum spread, but there is one where the spread is 1 to 40. Which casino is better to play at between these different spreads on both blackjack and American roulette?
M. S.
Dear M.S.:
Theoretically, given the same rules, the bigger the spread the better the blackjack game. But you aren't going to make a 1 to 40 spread — you'd be kicked out in about two minutes. So, in fact, the casino that gives you the best penetration, then the best rules, would be the one to play in.
As far as roulette, you can't get an edge at that game so keep your bets low.
