Ireland: Lotto ticket prizes raised

IRELAND -- The price of a lottery ticket is increasing in Ireland from €3 to €4 for a two-line play, the Irish Times reported.

The increased cost is being blamed on the privatisation of the National Lottery, which was sold to Premier Lotteries in February 2014, the report said.

This is the first increase in price in nine years, the Irish Times report added.
