Iowa House approves gambling bill

IOWA -- Iowa's gambling bill has been approved by the House and sent to the governor, Radio Iowa reported.The bill includes a provision to examine the potential of state approved online poker, the report said.
The bill changes the requirement for casinos to face a county vote every eight years to continue in business and also Iowans are now able to bet on state horse races online and by phone, the Radio Iowa report said.
