IOC beef up monitoring against gambling corruption

LONDON, England -- Plans to combat gambling corruption at the London 2012 Olympics are being implemented, The Telegraph reported.The IOC will be watching betting patterns on both qualifying and Olympic events, the report said.
London will be the first Olympics where betting related security is stepped up to include the qualifying events, The Telegraph report explained.
The IOC have warned of the possible corruption of athletes by illegal bookmakers and are keen to protect the "integrity of the Olympics" from gambling corruption, The Telegraph reported.
