InterXgaming questions US Online Gambling Bill

6 Oct 2006

NIKOSIA, Cyprus – (PRESS RELEASE) -- InterXgaming are questioning decisions made by leading gaming Sites not to allow bets from U.S residents in light of the latest bill passed through the U.S Senate. InterXgaming an international internet gaming Site, consisting of an online casino, Online Poker room and Online Sportsbook, announced it will not make any permanent decisions as to accepting U.S players or not, due to the new regulations to be imposed by the government on U.S financial institutions not allowing credit card transaction to online gaming sites. The bill does not ban U.S residents from playing in online casinos and has not yet been signed by the president which raises the question as to why some Sites decided to not accept U.S players instantly. What is certain is that Non US companies are being sought to help booster activity for the site.

The bill only calls for a halt in credit card, electronic transfers and checks to online casino gambling companies, leaving a host of online accounts available for U.S residents to use for depositing. It remains to be seen how the law will be defined whether in fact it will mean a complete stop of gaming in these offshore companies or a stop of certain financial methods. The management of InterXgaming will keep a close eye on the outcome of the bill in order know where their cliental lie.

Other leading online gaming sites have announced that they will no longer allow activity from U.S customers. With 80% of InterXgaming customer base coming from the U.S it will hit the Site hard and force many smaller newer sites to close down altogether. Todd Wolf, marketing manager of interXgaming commented that "It will be tough in the coming months as most online gaming companies will look to Asia and Europe, driving up prices for media in those regions".

The consequences will have far reaching effect with the majority of online media being bought through U.S based companies and networks. Todd said "We will have to divert spending away from the U.S which was almost 80% of our advertising budget. Our focus now is to find local partners in all non-U.S countries to promote interXcasino, interXpoker and interXbet according to the needs of their local market."

InterXgaming hopes to build a strong internet business reputation in Europe and Asia as an honest and reliable place to wager. The management issued a statement saying, the standards for excellence are international, by providing a solid product, professional support and a secure environment we believe the international community will welcome us and enjoy wagering on our site.

InterXcasino in keeping with the industries attractive offers, give a $500 Welcome Bonus to new customers, while the Poker Room and SportsBook also offering generous bonuses and enticing promotions. Now becoming all the more attractive to players as the competition strengthens.
