Intertops sending players to the $500,000 GTD Malta Poker Festival

29 Jul 2019

(PRESS RELEASE) -- With its €500K GTD prize pool and stunning Mediterranean location, the Malta Poker Festival has quickly become one of the most important poker events on the European poker circuit. Once again this year, Intertops Poker and Juicy Stakes will be sending a group of online satellite tournament winners to play some poker and have some fun in the sun.

The first of three satellite tournament series starts today and continues until the Final on Sunday. A second weeklong series begins 8 August, and a third starts 26 August. The winners of each series will receive a $2,500 prize package that includes buy-in to the Main Event, five nights luxurious accommodation at the Hilton (the only five-star resort on the island), $500 toward travel expenses and passes for the exclusive MPF VIP party.

“This is a great opportunity to combine a wonderful trip with thrilling live poker tournament action,” said Intertops’ poker manager. “The main event will be live streamed so all your friends and family can watch!”

Right in the middle of the Mediterranean Sea, Malta is known for superbly sunny weather, hot golden beaches, a thriving nightlife and more than 5,000 years of history.

The Malta Poker Festival begins 30 October at The Casino at Portomaso, right in the heart of Malta's vibrant night life. The final table will be played on Monday, 4 November. Last year Italian Emanuele Onnis defeated runner-up Fabian Gumz heads up to win the MPF Grand Event trophy and the €150,000 first place prize. The Grand Event attracted 1,366 entries, creating a total prize pool of €662,510.
