InterPoker Players Choose Kerry
LONDON, England – (PRESS RELEASE) -- It is often said that people don't vote with their hearts, they vote with their wallets. The result is that over the past two presidential elections, betting on political outcomes has been a more accurate indicator of the outcome of a presidential election than the gallop poll.
Taking this to the extreme, InterPoker.com (http://www.InterPoker.com) has held an online poker tournament, allowing America's poker players to cast their opinion on the presidential election two days early.
The InterPoker.com Poker Poll tournament asked InterPoker.com players to register their decision by entering either in the President Bush or Senator Kerry online poker tournament that was held Sunday the 31st of October. The winner of each tournament was eligible to win the standard tournament pool, but the winner of the tournament named after the next president of the United States will receive a Bonus of $1,000.
The Bush tournament had 46.3% of the vote, while Kerry racked up 53.6%. That puts Senator Kerry as the leader by a margin of 7.3% percent in the race according to America's Poker Players. Do they know something the rest of us don't? We'll find out on Tuesday when either "harrower", winner of tournament Bush or "Amak", winner of tournament Kerry, get their $1,000 bonus.
