Indiana lottery to explore online sales

INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana -- Indiana is keeping an eye on its neighbour's move to allow online lottery sales, the Journal Gazette reported.

The Indiana Hoosier lottery is only in the exploratory phase of such a consideration but it would not need legislative change or approval to implement online lottery sales, the report said.

It would require the authorization of the lottery commission, the Journal Gazette said.

Illinois became the first state to allow online lottery sales which began last Sunday.
