In Search of Next Great Chef, Harrah's Woos Culinary Schools
"Many well-known chefs have set up shop in the resort, and several more are expected to join the scene this summer with the opening of the Pier at Caesars and an addition to the Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa.
"They will need plenty of talented workers, from short-order cooks to gourmet chefs, to serve the people who come to town for a memorable meal as well as to challenge Lady Luck.
"To that end, Harrah's Entertainment is hosting representatives of seven East Coast culinary schools, hoping they can sell their students on Atlantic City in general, and the four Harrah's properties in particular, as a wonderful place to work and live.
"...Harrah's does have to impress the visitors if they hope the schools will send graduates to Atlantic City. The Harrah's properties alone have 700 restaurant positions in Atlantic City, said corporate executive chef Bill Barum.
