IGT profit falls 39%

NEW YORK, New York -- As reported by Reuters: "Slot-machine maker International Game Technology posted a 39 percent drop in quarterly profit on Thursday as its recession-battered casino customers continued to put off orders.
"For its fiscal third quarter ended June 30, net income fell to $66.3 million, or 22 cents a share, from $108.3 million, or 35 cents a share, a year earlier.
"Revenue for the quarter fell 23 percent to $522.1 million..."
