HONG KONG -- The imminent arrival of the World Cup beckons and in Hong Kong the police are ready to hunt down illegal gambling, according to Channel News Asia.

Police have some experience in the matter, having previously nabbed more than US$20 million in illegal wagers, Channel News Asia reported.

Hong Kong carefully controls gambling, this year will be no exception with police paying close attention to websites, the report stated.
