HollywoodPoker.com Helps Out with Charity Poker Series

BELL GARDENS, California –- (PRESS RELEASE) -- HollywoodPoker.com, where the stars come to play, was happy to lend a helping hand on Saturday, December 3, 2005 for the first installment of the "Charity Poker Gone MADD Tournament Series," organized by Exit 131 Productions and Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) at the Bicycle Casino. More than 170 players participated in the first installment of the series, generating a prize pool of $69,000.

Hollywood Poker star Vince Van Patten said, "As one of the faces of Hollywood Poker, I feel very proud to be involved in this event knowing that it will benefit a great cause. This is the second time in just a few months that we took some serious strides toward making a positive difference."

This is the first of ten "Charity Poker Gone MADD" events taking place around the United States with Hollywood Poker and Exit 131 Productions. Ten percent of the participants' buy-in entry and re-buy for the events goes to MADD to further its mission to stop drunk driving, support victims of this violent crime and to prevent underage drinking. The filmmaker of the movie Exit 131 will produce and promote the project in hopes of achieving charitable donations, corporate sponsorships and proceeds from charity driven events in order to support the project (due in 2006) and MADD's mission.

Antoine Hasrovni from Orange County, California was the overall winner beating out celebrities Willie Garson ("Sex and the City") and Erik Palladino ("E.R.") at the final table. Palladino, who came in third place, will donate half of his $10,000 winnings to the Boys and Girls Club of Southern California in the true nature of charity. Other celebrity participants included Jon Favreau (Zathura), Jeremy Sisto ("Six Feet Under"), Nick Gonzalez (Anacondas), Missi Pyle (Charlie and the Chocolate Factory), Kato Kaelin (BASEketball), Vince Van Patten ("World Poker Tour"), Dick Van Patten ("Eight is Enough"), Jimmy Van Patten (Robin Hood: Men in Tights), Christina Moore ("That 70's Show"), Tony Denison ("The Closer"), Alana Curry (Terminator 3), Matt Borlenghi ("The Bold and the Beautiful"), Jonathan Baker ("CHiP's '99") and Victoria Fuller ("Kill Reality").

The Hollywood Poker Girls, Babes and Bounties tournament is sure to warm even the coldest night and will be held on December 17, 2005 and will feature a $2,000 guarantee and $50 celebrity bounties on the 2006 Hollywood Poker Calendar Girls and all celebrities in attendance.

In the true spirit of the Holiday Hollywood Poker will feature the third coming of the $10,000 freeroll week with qualifying now taking place, all interested players are invited to come join in the fun.

If you didn't make it to Hollywood Poker's World Poker Tour Bellagio Celebrity Shootout, which took place on December 3, 2005, you missed your chance at over $30,000 in cash and prizes. Dan Eads from Oklahoma City, OK is the event winner. Eads now moves on to the World Poker Tour's Five Diamond Classic at the Bellagio Casino in Las Vegas starting December 12, 2005 where Hollywood Poker will cover his buy-in fee.
