KANSAS -- As reported by the Wichita Business Journal: "The state's casino board decided Friday morning that Harrah's Entertainment-Sumner Gaming and Resorts would build and manage Sumner County's casino.
"Four of the seven board members voted for Harrah's $535 million proposal for a casino resort at the Kansas Turnpike interchange near Mulvane that would include a residential and retail addition across the turnpike.
"The plan calls for a 175-room hotel at the casino, several restaurants, including one by Food Network's Paula Deen, an outdoor amphitheater, an 18-hole golf course and convention and conference venues.
"Project developers estimate the project will take 24 months to construct..."
