Harrah’s Northern California Casino first in nation to offer HotSeat Jackpot

(PRESS RELEASE) -- Harrah's Northern California Casino made gaming history in the United States when it recently became the first casino in the nation to offer Hotseat Lotto’s HotSeat Jackpot – a fun, convenient and player-funded drawing where guests wager against one another with bets ranging from $1 to $100 for a chance to win a jackpot every hour. HotSeat Jackpot allows guests to play their favorite table game while entering an hourly player-funded hot seat drawing across all tables within the property.

HotSeat Jackpot, also known as HotSeat Lotto in certain locales, modernizes and elevates typical hot seat drawing games. A common complaint with traditional hot seat games and promotions is that they are too infrequent and too inconvenient for many players. With HotSeat Jackpot each gaming table has a tablet linked with all the other tables throughout the casino floor.

Once an hour, the tablet chimes signaling that a 4-minute betting window will open. Players may wager from $1 to $100, with each dollar representing an entry into the drawing. During the betting window, players can see the actual amount of the jackpot as it grows from additional wagers by fellow players. When the betting window closes, the game randomly selects a winner and the screen flashes across all tables announcing the lucky winner and the size of the jackpot.
