Harrah's Named Leading Bidder for Illinois License

CHICAGO, Illinois – As reported by Reuters: "Casino operator Harrah's Entertainment Inc. (NYSE:HET) on Friday emerged as the leading bidder for a dormant casino gaming license the state of Illinois wants to sell to raise money for its ailing budget.
"The Illinois Gaming Board selected Harrah's ahead of an auction Wednesday among the three finalists for the license currently held by bankrupt Emerald Casino Inc.
"…However, Jeannette Tamayo, the board's interim administrator, said that the status of leading bidder could change during the actual auction…"
