Harrah’s Joliet and Harrah’s Metropolis to close temporarily

(PRESS RELEASE) -- Today, the Illinois Gaming Board ordered the state's 10 casinos, including Harrah's Joliet Casino and Hotel and Harrah's Metropolis Casino, to suspend gambling operations for 14 days, beginning at 12:00 AM on Monday, 16 March, 2020.The decision was made out of concern for the public health. To be clear, there have been no reported cases of COVID-19 at Harrah’s Metropolis to date. However, it will close to the public beginning Monday.
Harrah’s Metropolis looks forward to working with the Illinois Gaming Board to effectuate a smooth closing process on Monday, and will reopen as soon as the Illinois Gaming Board determines it is appropriate to do so.
