Harrah's Foundation sponsors GLAAD awards

LAS VEGAS, Nevada -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- The Harrah's Foundation is the presenting sponsor of the 19th Annual GLAAD Media Awards along with AT&T in Los Angeles at the Kodak Theatre on Saturday, April 26, 2008. The Harrah's Foundation donated a philanthropic contribution of $150,000 in recognition of the critical work done by Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD).

The GLAAD Media Awards recognizes and honors media for their fair, accurate and inclusive representations of the (LGBT) community and the issues that affect their lives. Awards are presented to openly lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender media professionals who have made a significant difference in promoting equal rights for the (LGBT) community.
