Harrah's Exec Named to InfoWorld 'CTO 25'
LAS VEGAS, Nevada -- (PRESS RELEASE) --Recognizing him as one of America's most influential technology executives, InfoWorld magazine named Tim Stanley, senior vice president and chief information officer for Harrah's Entertainment, Inc. to its 2006 "CTO 25" list.
The annual list recognizes 25 chief technology and chief information officers who exemplify the best in information technology management and innovation. Stanley was specifically honored for his leadership, innovation and contributions at Harrah's in creating several new real-time, operational customer-relationship management capabilities to drive differentiated customer experiences and enhanced business results within Harrah's, as well as successfully completing the comprehensive and nearly simultaneous business and IT integrations of Horseshoe Gaming Holding Corp. and Caesars Entertainment, Inc. These acquisitions and integrations nearly doubled the company's size in two years, making Harrah's the world's largest gaming company.
"This 'CTO 25' award is an unexpected honor, and it is wonderful to be in the company of these other accomplished companies and executives," Stanley said. "But the real recognition and credit goes to every member of our combined team of World-Class IT professionals that have gone above and beyond to accomplish what they have for the benefit of our customers, our stockholders and our fellow employees. Their tremendous efforts, creativity and dedication to excellence not only allowed us integrate our powerful and comprehensive set of IT capabilities across an unprecedented number of newly acquired properties in record time, but also to continue to innovate and deploy a variety of new and compelling IT-powered capabilities throughout our new and existing operations at the same time. As a result, our award-winning Total Rewards program, powerful analytical and operational CRM systems, and unique business intelligence capabilities are now up and running across the fully integrated Caesars, Horseshoe and Harrah's businesses, helping our company to continue to post impressive same-store sales growth, as well as reap the benefits and revenue synergies of these acquisitions more quickly than many expected.
"As this award and our business results demonstrate, Harrah's business and IT teams working together have delivered another inspiring, world class performance again this year," Stanley said. "I'm grateful for their collective efforts, and honored to accept this award and recognition on their behalf."
