Harrah's Entertainment reports closing date of acquisition

LAS VEGAS, Nevada -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- Harrah's Entertainment, Inc. (NYSE: HET) today announced that the closing of the proposed acquisition of Harrah's by affiliates of Apollo Global Management, L.P. and TPG Capital is expected to occur on January 28, 2008, subject to customary closing conditions.
