MASSACHUSETTS – As reported by the Boston Herald: "As the battle over casino gambling heats up once again, Gary Loveman, chief executive of industry titan Harrah's Entertainment, contends gambling foes may be losing their grip on Beacon Hill.

"A former Harvard Business School professor, Loveman plans to pitch Boston business executives today on the merits of opening Massachusetts to casinos.

"And Loveman, who lives in Boston's suburbs even as he runs a giant Las Vegas-based gambling empire, believes casino boosters may finally have a few cards of their own to play.

"In particular, Loveman acknowledged he is encouraged that former House Speaker Thomas Finneran, long perceived as the biggest roadblock to legalizing gambling in the Bay State, has stepped aside…"
