Harrah's Adds Organizer to Singapore Bid Team
SINGAPORE – As reported by Reuters: "Harrah's Entertainment Inc., the world's biggest gaming company, and developer Keppel Land Ltd. have added a conventions organiser to their team that is seeking to operate Singapore's first casino resort.
"Las Vegas-based Harrah's and Singapore's KepLand -- which together make up one of five consortia that are vying for the casino project -- said on Tuesday that conventions group Suntec would help promote the city-state as a conference venue.
"Suntec Singapore International Convention and Exhibition Centre, which counts Hong Kong tycoons Li Ka-shing, Run Run Shaw and Frank Tsao among its 11 shareholders, operates an integrated shopping, office and convention complex -- the country's largest at 7 million square feet.
