GTECH G2 to develop slots based on "CSI"

3 Mar 2011

LONDON, England -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- GTECH G2 has just signed a multi-year licensing agreement with CBS Consumer Products to develop online casino games based on the popular American television series CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, CSI: Miami and CSI: New York. The first CSI casino game will become available to GTECH G2 licensees in approved jurisdictions by the end of the year.

"Everybody loves a great mystery complete with fingerprints, DNA traces and characters with shady alibis. No wonder CSI is an international sensation," said Dominic Mansour, Vice President, Gaming Products, GTECH G2. "Thanks to our agreement with CBS Consumer Products, we can incorporate the intrigue and suspense of CSI within our interactive games to thrill game players and CSI fans throughout the world."

The fictional CSI crime shows track a team of dedicated forensic investigators as they collect and analyze evidence in their dimly-lit, high-tech labs to solve grisly murders. First launched in 2000, CSI is one of the most watched TV shows in the world. The show is a three-time winner of the "International Television Audience Award (Best Television Drama Series)" by the Festival de Télévision de Monte-Carlo.

Previously released games from GTECH G2 based on licensed brands include Chippendales - The Reel Deal and the Sherlock Holmes slots games. Earlier this year at ICE in London, GTECH G2 previewed its soon-to-be-released slots game based on the popular video game Plants vs Zombies.
