2010 saw the launch of North America's first legal and regulated poker network; The Canadian Poker Network. The network is a partnership between well respected lotteries, Loto Quebec and British Columbia Lottery Corporation. GTECH G2 is proud to have been behind this important initiative, which allows players in those Provinces to enjoy poker in a legal and trusted environment.
The awards ceremony, organised by eGaming Review and held at the ground of English Premier League Champions, Chelsea FC, honours the achievements of service providers and operators in the iGaming space and was this year hosted by former Sky Sports anchor, Richard Keys.
William Scott, GTECH G2’s Vice President explained that the night served as testimony to the company’s progress since its creation just two years ago. “It is an honour just to have so many nominations at a prestigious event such as this and to win truly emphasises just how far we’ve come in such a short space of time,” he said.
“It speaks volumes about the commitment and dedication of everyone in the GTECH G2 stable that we are seen as a pioneering force in such a changeable and evolving sector. The award and nominations are testament to the core values of the company and are a fitting tribute to mark our second year in practice.”
In total, GTECH G2 was nominated for awards in eight separate categories including Bingo Network of the Year, Bingo Supplier of the Year, Innovation in Bingo of the Year, Poker Network of the Year, Poker Software of the Year, Sports Betting Supplier of the Year, Lottery Software Supplier of the Year and Fraud and Compliance Solution of the Year.
