Greektown, All In team up for charity

TROY, Michigan -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- Greektown Casino and All In magazine have teamed up to host a benefit for Share A Smile, a Troy-based charity. The benefit - the inaugural Motown Showdown Charity Fall Classic Poker Tournament - is slated for Tuesday, Nov. 13 at Greektown Casino. A player reception will begin at the Apollo Lounge inside the casino at 6:30 p.m. with Greektown Poker Room manager and Tournament Director Ed White beginning game play at 7:30 p.m.

The event, which is limited to the first 100 registered players, will award an expected $32,000 first place prize with an expected $80,000 prize pool shared among the top 10 finishers, based on a 100-player participation.

"We are very excited about this event and look forward to having our inaugural tournament in the heart of downtown," said Susan Moscareillo, executive director, Share A Smile. "We anticipate this becoming an annual event for Share A Smile, and with a few seats remaining, we hope to pack the house. It's a great event for an even greater cause -helping those in need."
