GPL Reports Monthly Winner

(PRESS RELEASE) -- The Great Poker League Ltd has great pleasure in announcing that Christine Irlam (nickname sqiddley) has won the April Great Poker League.

Sqiddley takes down the 1st prize of $1500.

Two other Great Poker League players also made it into the prize money.

Since it's inception on 15th February the GPL now has over 13,000 players listed in the league, so it really is a fantastic achievement for sqiddley to beat so many runners.

Colin Hawker, Director of The Great Poker League said " Sqiddley was a deserved winner. We are delighted to have one of our players taking 1st prize so soon after we launched. I can't wait to present Sqiddley with his cheque"

Colin went onto say that he had spoken to the winner who was said to be delighted. The GPL is a unique league that has already far exceeded all expectations. Probably due to the fact that it is completely free to participate and there is a $50,000 prize pool with player sponsorship available in 2007.
