GoldenPalace.com Helps Charities

ST. JOHNS, Antigua – (PRESS RELEASE) -- The Ellen DeGeneres one-of-a-kind Cabbage Patch Kid will be launched into outer space, courtesy of GoldenPalace.com.

In an ongoing effort to raise funds for charity, GoldenPalace.com purchased the doll at an eBay auction that ended this afternoon, benefiting The American Red Cross and Noah's Wish.

GoldenPalace.com recently made headlines with the announcement of the Golden Palace Space Program, powered by the daVinci Project. The program will launch a spaceship to sub-orbital space as part of the Ansari X Prize Competition; the doll will be part of this historic flight. Accompanying the doll will be the "Beckham Ball", another GoldenPalace.com eBay win which has been used worldwide to raise funds for charitable organizations.

Even though the X Prize has been claimed, GoldenPalace.com will launch in an effort to raise funding and bring awareness to the charities and space travel. The cyber casino plans to raise even more for the charities when they re-sell the doll after its journey into space.

Cabbage Patch Ellen is a hand-made 16" Kid that has been customized to capture the essence of Ellen DeGeneres, the well-known comedian and talk-show host. The Kid's outfit includes: A hand tailored suit out of fine Italian wool, custom made shirt with fine pink pearl buttons, signature boxer shorts, trendy shoes, diamond necklace, Timex watch and a "Dory" (from "Finding Nemo") doll. The hair has been hand styled and specially designed to capture Ellen's own hair style.

To commemorate this event, GoldenPalace.com will design and supply this first commercial space tourist with her very own space suit.

GoldenPalace.com has made contributions to help: find a cure for Multiple Sclerosis, The Retired Boxers Foundation, support a neo-natal hospital for children, and fund schooling for children.
