Golden Nugget Las Vegas welcomes 11th annual Grand Poker Series

(PRESS RELEASE) -- Golden Nugget - Las Vegas Hotel and Casino proudly presents the 11th annual Grand Poker Series 29 May - 3 July 2018, hosted in the Grand Event Center with more than 90 poker tournaments spread across 36 days ranging in both buy-in amounts and poker disciplines.

Of the 90-plus events on the schedule, 18 are in forms other than Hold'Em, including stand-alone Omaha 8 or Better, Pot Limit Omaha, Stud and Big-O events, along with mixed game formats including Razz, Stud, Stud 8 or Better, Pot Limit Omaha, Omaha 8 or Better, 2-7 Triple Draw and Big-O.

Buy-ins range from $110 to $1,000, and most days, feature three events - at 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 7 p.m.

Offerings at the Grand Poker Series include a daily $20K guarantee No Limit Hold'Em Event almost every day at 1 p.m. in June with a $150 buy-in, a $5K guarantee No Limit Hold'Em Event almost every night at 7 p.m. in June with a $110 buy-in, a $150K Guarantee Prize Pool 9 Flight $150 buy-in Event on 31 May through 2 June, a $250K Guarantee Prize Pool 9 Flight "Ultimate Re-Entry" $200 buy-in Event on 7 through 9 June and again on 21 through 23 June, and a $500K Guarantee Prize Pool 3 Flight $570 buy-in Championship Event starting on 28 June, as well as multiple Seniors Events during "Seniors Week," featuring a $1K buy-in Seniors High Roller Event on 16 June, presented by The Elder Statesman of Poker, Oklahoma Johnny Hale.

• $20K Guarantee Prize Pool $150 buy-in Event at 1 p.m. almost every day in June
• $150K Guarantee Prize Pool 9 Flight $150 buy-in Event on May 31 through June 2. Last years $100K Guarantee on opening weekend had only six flights and drew a record setting field of 2,563 entrants, creating a prize pool of over $281K, with the winner taking home more than $20,000
• $250K Guarantee Prize Pool 9 Flight "Ultimate Re-Entry" $200 buy-in Event on June 7 through 9, and again on June 21 through 23. In 2017, this event had a $200K Guarantee Prize Pool, and drew 3,329 entrants creating a prize pool of over $532K, with the winner taking home over $40,000.
