How many times have you been playing a variation of poker and wished that you could request a re-deal after being dealt another garbage hand? Golden Casino's Mulligan Poker allows you to do just that, which sounds like a marvelous idea, until, of course, you realize the dealer has the same exact option.

Mulligan Poker is basically Three-Card Poker played with five cards. After betting your ante bet and being dealt your cards, you have the option of folding, and losing your ante bet, or placing another bet – the raise bet – that is equal to your ante bet. If your hand beats the five-card hand of the dealer, you win your ante bet. If your hand beats the dealer's hand AND the dealer has a King or better, you win both your ante bet and your raise bet.

The thing that makes Mulligan Poker different is that after you place your bet and receive your cards, you have the option of re-drawing and getting an entirely new set of five cards. If you choose the re-deal option, however, you automatically must place your raise bet.

Also, keep in mind -- and this is important -- if the dealer's hand is King high or worse, it will also automatically re-deal. Trust us, there is nothing worse than seeing the dealer have squadoosh (apologies to Norman Chad) and then get re-dealt three of a kind to beat your two pair. Ouch!

Like most games of variation poker, the house edge is high here, particularly if you play the bonus bet on each hand. But Mulligan Poker is a nice change of pace and a fun game to play because it's not often you can simply request a re-draw when you don't like your hand.
