Gambling watchdog inspects Twinsbet
24 Sep 2025
Before starting the inspection, LPT provided consultations to the company "Nese" and Twinsbet arena regarding the use of the betting brand in the name of the arena, and the gambling company was encouraged to seek other forms of sponsorship of the arena. These consultations and calls were not taken into account.
With the entry into force of stricter requirements for gambling advertising and sponsorship communications, it is no longer permitted to use the trademark or name of the gambling operator in the name of the sponsored person and to use such name in any communication media. The use of betting operators' logos in the name of the sponsored person is considered advertising, which is not permitted.
The additional restrictions on gambling advertising that came into effect on July 1 are aimed at reducing the accessibility of gambling and the harm it causes to society. This is a transitional period before a complete ban on gambling advertising comes into effect.
LPT has consistently provided consultations on the upcoming changes. Since March, 5 meetings have been held with market participants and other interested parties. In addition, 45 individual consultations have been provided. Systematized information and answers to frequently asked questions have also been published on the LPT website.
In July, after the changes had already entered into force, the LPT continued consultations on the application of these changes in practice. When potential violations were noted, reminders were sent and suggestions were made to provide more information on how to adapt to the changes.
