Full Tilt offering opportunity to play Gus Hansen heads-up

19 Aug 2013

ONCHAN, Isle of Man (PRESS RELEASE) -- Full Tilt Poker's Satellite Hero, Monday, Aug. 19-Sunday, Sept. 1, gives players the chance to go head-to-head against poker superstar Gus Hansen. Those taking part can also get a cut of over $4,000 in MiniFTOPS XXIII entries and win Tournament Tickets.

Players who satellite into a scheduled tournament and cash in that tournament will receive a free ticket to the Satellite Hero Freeroll on top of their cash prize. The top 126 players in this freeroll will get a share of MiniFTOPS XXIII tickets worth more than $3,000.

The winner of the Satellite Hero Freeroll will play heads-up against the world-renowned Gus Hansen the day after their victory. The player will begin with a 2:1 chip lead on Hansen and, if he/she beats The Professional, he/she will be awarded a prize package comprised of a ticket to every MiniFTOPS XXIII event, valued at over $1,200.

Additionally, during Satellite Hero, qualifying satellite winners who reach the final table of their destination tournament will receive a Tournament Ticket to the value of the buy-in.

"Full Tilt Poker's satellite tournaments represent great value, letting players compete for big prize pools for a fraction of the cost," said Sarne Lightman, Full Tilt's head of marketing. "But Satellite Hero brings this to a whole new level –- it gives our players a shot at taking on a true poker legend and the opportunity to bag tickets to all the MiniFTOPS XXIII events along the way."
