Free Kentucky Derby Bet Offered at All Horse Racing
LOUISVILLE, Kentucky -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- All Horse Racing - http://www.allhorseracing.com , a privately held international gaming company, today announced the start of the Triple Crown Challenge.
The road to the Triple Crown begins May 7th at Churchill Downs with the 131st Kentucky Derby. To celebrate the Running of the Roses, All Horse Racing is offering a free bet on the Kentucky Derby as well as free bets on the other two jewels of the Triple Crown, the Preakness and Belmont Stakes.
"The Kentucky Derby is part of American heritage and we all thought that a free flutter on the most exhilarating 2 minutes in sports would be a brilliant way to take part in the excitement of the race," commented Leonard Manley, Director of Marketing.
One of several free bets available at All Horse Racing asks the punter, will the winner of the 2005 Kentucky Derby finish over or under 2:20 seconds? Last year, Stuart Elliot rode Smarty Jones to win the Derby in a time of 2:04:06. Will this year's winner be faster?
The Kentucky Derby takes its place among the most famous and thrilling events in sports. In 1875, the Derby was raced for the first time and won by Aristides. 1973 was a special year in Derby History because Secretariat, who went on to win the Triple Crown, ran the fastest time at Churchill Downs. His record time still stands 32 years later.
In the past few months, several horses have been sidelined and the recent outbreak of strangles has certainly impacted the preparation for the Derby. With the winnowing of this year's field, picking a clear favorite has been challenging work.
"For my money, I like Bellamy Road. He is a good horse, very good. Nick Zito is fantastic trainer and Javier Castellano is a solid rider. I know that many people are inclined towards Sun King, but look out for Bellamy Road," says Manley.
"But, before you take my advice, I should mention that I thought David Cassidy's Mayan King would carry the field at Turfway Park!" Manley was quick to add.
As soon as the Kentucky Derby is over, free online wagers will be offered for the Preakness and Belmont Stakes.
Other companies involved with online horse racing include Magna Entertainment Corp. (NASDAQ:MECA), Youbet.com (NASDAQ:UBET), TVG Network (NASDAQ:GMST) and BrisBET.com.
