Foxwoods to host Restock the Shelves poker event

(PRESS RELEASE) -- As part of its long-standing commitment to support The United Way of Southeastern Connecticut and Gemma Moran Food Center, the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation will once again host the charity poker event Restock the Shelves, sponsored by Ante Up Magazine & Blue Shark Optics, at Foxwoods Resort Casino’s world-class Poker Room. The 2015 Restock the Shelves event at Foxwoods generated more than 4,000 meals through Feeding America and the Connecticut Food Bank. Across the country, the participating poker venues were able to help feed 43,600 people.

On Monday, January 18, Foxwoods guests are encouraged to visit Foxwoods Resort Casino’s poker tournament area from 10 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. to donate nonperishable food items or cash to the United Way of Southeastern CT. Guests who make a donation and buy-in to our $300 NLH Big Stack event will receive one (1) entry into a drawing for Foxwoods’ $200 Mega Super Satellite Poker Tournament, to be held February 5-13, to win a share of a guaranteed minimum $30,000 prize pool.

A total of five (5) tickets will be drawn on Jan. 18 at 3 p.m. Winners will be announced in the tournament area.
