Foxwoods reports July slot revenue
13 Aug 2015
Foxwoods’ contribution to the Connecticut Special Revenue Fund in July 2015 is $11.6 million, bringing the cumulative contribution to the state since Foxwoods opened in 1992 to over $3.8 billion.
July ushered in a month of summer fun at Foxwoods, as the property showcased a star-studded entertainment slate. The Grand Theater played host to a diverse field of world-class talent, including comedian Jerry Seinfeld, R&B legend R. Kelly, pop icons Culture Club with Boy George and classic rock duo Hall & Oates. Hip-hop hype man Lil Jon also brought fun in the sun at the Fox Tower Pool for Liquid Sundays, the Northeast’s only outdoor Vegas-style pool party.
At the Fox Theater, famed illusionist Criss Angel’s “The SUPERNATURALISTS” continued its popular residency, delighting audiences all month long with a magical ensemble showcase featuring nine mind-blowing magicians. The cast will re-appear later this fall, when the show returns – with Angel headlining - to Foxwoods for a limited time in November and December.
August promises an equally exciting calendar of events to close out the summer at Foxwoods, featuring performances by Alice in Chains, Gladys Knight & the O’Jays and the urban acrobatic spectacle Cirque Éloize iD, which kicks off a four-week residency at the Fox Theater. Foxwoods will also host the Season Two finale of Nuvo’s original boxing docu-series Knockout, which will feature show host Roy Jones Jr. squaring off against William Bailey in the main card event.
