Fourth person claims Millionaire's Raffle
Secretary of Revenue Tom Wolf and Lottery Executive Director Ed Trees presented a ceremonial check to Yentz today at Speedy Shop in Scranton, Lackawanna County. The store received a $5,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.
Yentz said he always buys his Lottery tickets at Speedy Shop. The day before the Millionaire Raffle drawing he won $500 on a "Win $1,000 A Week For Life" instant ticket he purchased there.
Watching the televised drawing, Yentz said he thought his ticket number had been chosen as one of the $1 million top prizes. He later checked the Lottery's official Web site, palottery.com, to confirm he had won.
As of Feb. 28, one $1 million raffle top prize remains unclaimed. The ticket was sold at Infoplace USA, 100 Robinson Centre Drive, Pittsburgh, Allegheny County.
In addition to Yentz, the other top prize winners are Robert Martin of Hanover, York County; Merle McWilliams Jr. of Gibsonia, Allegheny County; and Paul Callaghan of Pittsburgh, Allegheny County.
The five top-prize raffle ticket numbers selected were 00058955, 00566266, 00161106, 00478695, and 00596835. A list of all 8,000 winning raffle ticket numbers is available at Lottery retailers, as well as at palottery.com.
The $1 million top prizes must be claimed by presenting a winning ticket at Pennsylvania Lottery headquarters, 1200 Fulling Mill Road, Middletown, or at any of the Lottery's seven area offices throughout the commonwealth. A list of area offices is available at palottery.com.
