First WSOP gold bracelet win for Loeser

3 Jul 2021

On Friday, the second gold bracelet of the 2021 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Online Series was awarded. Event #2: $600 NLH Monster Stack drew 727 runners who rebought 311 times, which meant the 1,038-entry field resulted in a $560,520 prize pool, and after 11 hours of play, it was Manig "Ohio77" Loeser who came out on top win a $104,313 top prize and his first gold bracelet.

A top poker pro, Loeser has over $11 million in live tournament earnings according to The Hendon Mob. He had come close to winning a WSOP gold bracelet on several occasions having finished second twice and third three times. He can now remove his name from the list of "Best Without a Bracelet" thanks to his Online Monster Stack victory.

The gold bracelet is the cherry on top of an already-stellar career that includes a win on the Triton Super High Roller Series for over $2 million and an EPT Monte Carlo victory for $678,393. He has more than a dozen other six-figure scores on his poker résumé, including four others from the WSOP.

After three-time WSOP bracelet winner Nick "CashUsKlay" Schulman bubbled the tournament in 168th place, players started falling at a rapid pace.

Among the notables to cash were WSOP bracelet winner Ryan "joeyisamush" Depaulo (158th - $841), six-time bracelet winner Daniel "DNegs" Negreanu (92nd - $861.97), Michael "Whats__next" Gagliano (75th - $1,177), Upeshka "gomezhamburg" De Silva (37th - $2,130), Andrew "WATCHGUY42" Lichtenberger (28th - $2,466), Brad "mrmonkeybear" Owen (17th - $3,699), and Kathy "Luckygal" Liebert (12th - $5,885).

Loeser actually eliminated Liebert after he four-bet jammed with pocket sevens and she called with ace-king suited. It was a big flip and Loeser's pocket pair held strong to end Liebert's quest for a second bracelet.

At the final table, Loeser built a big stack and used to apply pressure to his opponents, though he only notched two knockouts. Fortunately, they were the ones that counted as his pocket sixes held against ace-six suited to eliminate "WompDatTHomp" in third place and then in the final hand had his queens hold up against sixes to dispatch Mark "Nostradonkus" Liedtke in second place.

Final Table Results

1 Manig "Ohio77" Loeser $104,313
2 Mark "Nostradonkus" Liedtke $64,460
